Summary: Infinite IEP Pro helps special education teachers draft state-compliant IEP documents (California SEIS, Texas ARD) and run compliance reviews. Default BYOK mode keeps API keys in memory only. Optional hosted API may be offered for district licenses under separate agreement.
1. Who we are
Operated by Infinite Byte Lab (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Contact: support@infinitebytelab.com
2. Scope
Applies to the Infinite IEP Pro Chrome extension, optional Cloudflare Worker proxy when enabled, and related pages on infinitebytelab.com.
3. Products in the Infinite IEP family
- Infinite IEP (Free) — See Free privacy policy.
- Infinite IEP Pro — Full document suite, CA/TX rules, compliance audit. This policy.
4. Information we collect
We do not collect or sell student personal information on our servers in standard BYOK deployment.
Stored locally on your device:
- AI provider and model preferences
- Optional draft text
- Last selected state (CA, TX, or Federal)
API keys: Not persisted. Session memory only.
5. Hosted API proxy (optional)
If you use our Worker proxy instead of BYOK:
- Content is forwarded transiently and not logged or stored by us.
- Google Gemini terms apply to upstream processing.
- District deployments may require a separate DPA/BAA.
6. Information sent to AI providers
Prompts may go to Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic (BYOK), local Ollama, or our optional proxy. We do not use your content to train our own models.
7. PII scrubbing
Paste scrubbing is an aid. Educators must verify no identifiable student information is sent without authorization.
8. FERPA and student data
- Assists drafting; does not replace official records or professional judgment.
- BYOK users are responsible for provider and district approval.
- Compliance Review is informational, not legal advice.
9. Children’s privacy (COPPA)
For adult educators. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 through the extension.
10. Analytics
No third-party analytics SDKs in the extension. This site may use standard hosting logs.
11. Data retention and deletion
- Uninstall or clear extension storage to remove local data.
- Proxy mode: we do not retain request payloads.
12. International users
Designed for U.S. special education workflows. Users elsewhere must comply with local law.
13. Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date above will change when we do.
